Parelli Natural Horsemanship
Background
After an “end of the road” experience with a horse, dressage rider, Linda Parelli, saw a video of Pat Parelli riding bridleless. While attending a Parelli Horse Training Clinic, Linda realized many things about horses and herself. After learning that horses are prey animals who live by their insticts, she began to understand her horse in an entirely new way. Attending the Parelli Natural Horsemanship clinic changed everything between Linda and her horse as well as in her personal life. Since then, not only Linda made tremendous progress with not only the horse that brought her to Parelli, but went on to marry Pat Parelli and continue to study natural horsemanship. Linda became a gifted natural horsemanship trainer in her own right. She has a great eye for identifying problems and communicating simple, step-by-step solutions to teach humans how to naturally communicate with horses.
One of Linda's most notable achievements is her development of the "Horsenality" system. “Horsenality™” refers to the system of understanding horses through four basic personality types. A combination of the words “horse” and “personality,” Horsenality™ is a convenient way to talk about horse psychology in the Parelli Natural Horsemanship method of horse training. She also established the term Humanality, which explains how human personalities relate to their horse experience. These two concepts are combined in the revolutionary Horsenality/Humanality Match Report - a personalized report that uses personal responses to questions to pinpoint the personality of you and your horse, and most importantly, suggestions for the human to become a better leader for their horse based on those responses.
Linda has a particular passion for the world of dressage, and has studied with the esteemed classical dressage trainer Walter Zettl since 2006. She recently came out with a revolutionary system for achieving collection with horses called the Game of Contact - a step-by-step program that helps develop horse and human mentally, emotionally, and physically to achieve collection, or, as Linda likes to call it, finesse.
