Iron Sixes Horsemanship
Iron Sixes Horsemanship was named after the six-shooters that were once known as a symbol of the West in a time when a fast horse and accuracy with a pistol were necessary for survival. The team is comprised of two professionals turned best friends, Travis Smith and Benjiumen Denney. They have been competing in the sport of cowboy mounted shooting for a combined twenty plus years. The duo formed Iron Sixes Horsemanship to educate others about the fastest-growing equestrian sport in the nation. Dedicated to the sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Travis and Ben are currently CMSA™ Level Five cowboys. They have diligently worked to obtain a high level of success, and admittedly they have made nearly every mistake in the book along the way. With a natural inclination to pay it forward, Travis and Ben have developed a horsemanship-based curriculum and clinic format that was designed to give others the tools to be successful mounted shooters. Whether they are introducing newcomers or helping current competitors reach the next level, Travis and Ben tailor their teachings to help those at all skill levels. It is evident that these guys love their sport because their positive attitudes are infectious. They'll make you feel welcome, and they are proud to have created a learning environment that leaves students wanting more!
