Salute to the War Horse in America
Background
A united group of Historical Reenactors of the Civil War and other war periods from Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa will present a historical program of the use of the horse in American Military Service over the years. Uniforms and equipment from several time periods will be on display along with horse demonstrations. The reenactors will portray soldiers of the various major United States conflicts from the Revolutionary war to the present. Many of the reenactors have 10-20 years of experience as well as have extensive knowledge about the horse and it’s role in the US Military along with the equipment and life of the soldier in the conflicts portrayed.
Horses of War are scheduled to appear:
Friday at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm in the Andis Demo Arena
Friday at 1:30 pm in Nutrena Arena
Saturday at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm in the Andis Demo Arena
Saturday at 3:30 pm in Nutrena Arena
Sunday at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 pm and 3:30 pm in the Andis Demo Arena
