Background

Clare Ryan, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, a Milwaukee area native, is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation she continued her training with an internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in Canada.  Dr. Ryan then pursued a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  In 2006, upon completion of her residency, she obtained board certification through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.  Dr. Ryan’s tenure in Gainesville led her to complete a PhD focused on equine immunology while overseeing the care of more than 20 broodmares and their foals.   She recently returned to her home state and is a large animal veterinarian at Badger Veterinary Hospital, serving southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
