Daniel Stewart has been a successful international horse trainer and instructor for over 25 years. He’s trained riders in Spain, Portugal, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Greece, the West Indies, and all over the United States. From 1999 to 2007, he coached riders on several U.S. equestrian teams to success at the World Championships, World Equestrian Games, and Olympics.
An internationally acclaimed author, Daniel is widely considered one of the world’s leading experts on equestrian sport psychology. His book Ride Right with Daniel Stewart is designed to help riders of any ability become physically and mentally fit to ride. His latest, Pressure Proof Your Riding: Mental Training Techniques, focuses on the psychological aspects of competition, teaching riders how to overcome the nerves, pressure, and anxiety that can accompany competitive performance.
Daniel is a popular guest speaker at many national conventions, and teaches his philosophy to thousands of riders each year at clinics and seminars worldwide. He has been the subject of numerous magazine articles, and is the Sport Psychology expert for the Horse Radio Network.
A longtime resident of Andalusia, Spain, Daniel now resides in Naples, Florida, where he holds mental coaching classes via Skype with riders from around the country when he's not traveling to teach clinics in person.
